Team: where interaction and development take place

The team perspective describes how people succeed together. It is within the team that the Purpose is translated into everyday work, conditions become visible and responsibility can be taken close to the work.

Core idea

Performance is often created together.

Many organisational purposes require people to work together. People need to understand how their work connects with that of others, what the team aims to achieve and how responsibility, priorities and knowledge are shared in everyday work.

The team perspective helps the organisation see the team as an important level for performance. This is where the Purpose is interpreted, obstacles become visible and conditions can be turned into collective action.

Four elements

Belong, Contribute, Be Recognised and Develop reveal how the team works.

Team is about more than enjoying work. It concerns the social and practical conditions that enable people to succeed together.

01

Belong

People need to feel part of something.

Belonging creates security, direction and an opportunity to understand how each person's work connects with the team's Purpose.

02

Contribute

Everyone needs to be able to use their competence.

The team works better when people can contribute their experience, perspective and abilities in ways that strengthen the Purpose.

03

Be Recognised

Contributions need to be visible and taken seriously.

Recognition means that people can see that their work, responsibility and perspectives matter to the team and the Purpose.

04

Develop

The team needs to learn and move the work forward together.

Development happens when the team can experiment, follow up, learn and adjust its way of working in line with the Purpose.

In everyday work

A team perspective helps teams discuss how the work actually functions.

When work is not running smoothly, the explanation often lies in the interaction: unclear roles, uncertain priorities, weak shared responsibility or too little dialogue about what the Purpose requires. A team perspective helps the team see this without becoming stuck in explanations focused on individuals.

01

Dialogue

The team creates shared understanding.

A team perspective helps the team discuss how the Purpose should be understood, what is hindering the work and what needs to be done together.

02

Interaction

Responsibility becomes clearer close to the work.

When the team understands how responsibilities and dependencies connect, it becomes easier to prioritise, support one another and act at the right time.

03

Development

Learning becomes part of the work.

A team perspective makes development tangible by connecting learning with everyday work, follow-up and shared decisions.

Connection to Verksamhetsskap

Team shows how the Purpose becomes shared.

Verksamhetsskap is about organising work around the Purpose, people's conditions for performance and dialogue in everyday work. At team level, the Purpose needs to be interpreted, owned and developed together.

Considering Team, Individual and Purpose together makes it possible to see whether a challenge lies in the individual's conditions for performance, the team's interaction or how the Purpose is defined and organised.
